Kapellet ligger på hjørnet af Legevej og Vivensteenvej.
Kapellet blev bygget i 1954 (arbejdet startede på 2. påskedag) under påvirkning af præst Van den Broucke. Grunden til kapellet blev stillet til rådighed af Alfons Viaene – Elodie De Sutter.
Den 15. maj 1954 blev billedet af de Fattiges Jomfru velsignet mellem Vesper og Lov, inden det blev båret i procession til den nye markkapel.
