Die Kapelle befindet sich an der Ecke Legeweg und Vivensteenweg.
Die Kapelle wurde 1954 (Baubeginn am Ostermontag) auf Anregung von Pfarrer Van den Broucke erbaut. Das Grundstück für die Kapelle wurde von Alfons Viaene – Elodie De Sutter gestiftet.
Am Sonntag, dem 15. Mai 1954, wurde die Statue der Jungfrau der Armen zwischen Vesper und Lobpreis gesegnet und anschließend in einer Prozession zur neuen Feldkapelle getragen.
