Kommunen Flurlingen ligger mellem Rhinen og den vestlige skråning af Cholfirst. Af kommunens areal anvendes 18,3 % til landbrug, 55,8 % er dækket af skov, 4,2 % er vejareal og 17,9 % er bebyggelsesområde, 3,8 % er vand.
På Cholfirst findes en sendeturm i stålrammebyggeri ved 8°38'50" østlig længde og 47°40'53" nordlig bredde med en observationsplatform åben for offentligheden.
SVP har 25,13 %, SP 16,66 %, FDP 15,36 %, De Grønne 15,26 %, glp 14,53 %, CVP 5,02 %, BDP 2,12 %, EVP 2,02 % og AL 1,2 % af vælgerstemmerne.
