Villars-sur-Glâne er en schweizisk kommune i kantonen Fribourg beliggende i distrikterne Sarine.
De ældste rester i kommunen stammer fra det 7. århundrede f.Kr. Arkæologer har fundet græske keramikstykker, fra Norditalien og Nordfrankrig på stedet kaldet Châtillon. Dette tyder på, at stedet var et vigtigt overgangssted ved Sarine. Her findes også flere tumuli fra Hallstatt-perioden, herunder en af de største i Schweiz, tumulusen Moncor, som stadig ikke er blevet udgravet på grund af mangel på midler, mere end tres år efter dens opdagelse.
