Steina er en saksisk kommune i Landkreis Bautzen og medlem af administrationsfællesskabet Pulsnitz.
Steina ligger ca. 30 kilometer nord for Dresden, mellem Kamenz og Pulsnitz i udkanten af Lausitz-bjergenes landskabsbeskyttelsesområde. Stedet strækker sig - som en typisk række landsby med skovhuse - over mere end 7 kilometer og opdeles i delområderne Weißbach, Niedersteina og Obersteina. Gennem stedet løber Weißbach, et biflod til Haselbaches, som munder ud i Pulsnitz ved Reichenau. Karakteristisk for Steina er dets nærhed til mellem bjergene, hvor terrænet domineres af Schwedenstein.
