Selfkant er en kommune i Kreis Heinsberg i Nordrhein-Westfalen. Den grænser, i højden af Sittard, til Nederlandene på tre sider. Selfkant er en udstrakt, hovedsageligt landbrugskommun, der består af en række landsbyer og små boligområder. Udstrakte skove findes kun i bækkens område af Roode Beek. Den synlige bebyggelse der står på nederlandsk grund. Kommunen har 10.253 indbyggere på et areal på 48,73 km².
