Wanfried [ˈvanfʁiːt] er en by i Werra-Meißner-Kreis i Hessen. Den er kendt for sin historiske bymidte med mange bevarede fredede bindingsværkhuse.
Byen ligger i den østlige del af den nordhessiske Werra-Meißner-Kreis direkte ved grænsen til Thüringen. Den befinder sig i dalen ved Werra nordøst for Schlierbachskoven; nordøst for Wanfried ligger den thüringiske naturpark Eichsfeld-Hainich-Werratal lige på den anden side af grænsen.
