Regierungsområdet Lüneburg var fra 1885 til 2004 et regeringsområde i landene Preussen og Niedersachsen.
Historien om regeringsområdet Lüneburg går tilbage til 1885, da det tidligere kongerige Hannover, der blev preussisk i 1866, blev opdelt i regeringsområder som nuværende preussisk provins Hannover. Forbilledet var de regeringsområder, der allerede var oprettet i andre preussiske provinser i 1815/16. Regierungsområdet Lüneburg blev dannet ud fra den eksisterende landdrostei Lüneburg fra 1823.
