Großheringen er en kommune i den nordøstlige del af Landkreis Weimarer Land. Den opfyldende kommune er byen Bad Sulza. I byen munder den 128 kilometer lange Ilm ud i Saale.
Großheringen ligger i Landkreis Weimarer Land i den nordøstlige del af Thüringen ved grænsen til Sachsen-Anhalt, cirka 15 km nordøst for amtshovedstaden Apolda. Ilm og Saale løber gennem kommunen, hvor Ilms udløb i Saale ligger lige under byen Großheringen.
