Weiterstadt er en by i den sydhessiske Landkreis Darmstadt-Dieburg. Den grænser med sin bydel Riedbahn direkte op til Darmstadt og ligger 20 km syd for Frankfurt Lufthavn.
Den 29. juli 1993 fik Weiterstadt titlen som by tildelt af den hessiske statsregering. Weiterstadt kom i offentligheden den 27. marts 1993, da den Røde Arme Fraktion udførte et sprængstofangreb på den på det tidspunkt lige færdigbyggede justitsanstalt i Weiterstadt.
