Erpel er en kommune i Neuwied-distriktet i det nordlige Rheinland-Pfalz, på den højre bred af Midter-Rhine. Den tilhører det sammensluttede kommune Unkel.
Bycentrum ligger i den nedre Midter-Rhine dal overfor Remagen ved kanten af Rhein-Westerwald Naturpark. I den østlige del af kommunen strækker Erpeler Kirchspielwald sig op til Rhine Westerwald vulkankam. Der, syd for toppen af Asberg, som ligger 430 m over NHN, nås det højeste punkt i kommunen. Den ydre østlige del af Erpel lokalitet, hvis grænse der markeret af Erpeler Bach, kan allerede tilskrives Asbach højdedraget.
