Buch er den nordligste bydel af Pankow-distriktet og dermed af Berlin. Den ved Panke beliggende by præges af den historiske landsbykerne, slotsparken, omfattende hospitalfaciliteter og mere moderne nybyggerier.
Buch ligger på Barnim, hvis højslette tydeligt hæver sig over de omkringliggende dale, i nord og nordøst Eberswalder Urstromtal med Oder-Havel-kanalen og Oderbruch, i sydøst Buckower Rinne, i syd det Berliner Urstromtal med Spree samt i vest Zwischenurstromtal ved Havel. Den øvre del af Finow og Panke danner grænsen mellem den dybere Westbarnim og den højere Mittelbarnim.
