Wittmund er en by i det nordvestlige Niedersachsen og hovedby i den samme østfrisiske kommune. Målt på areal er det den største by i Ostfriesland, og med sine 20.433 indbyggere kommer den på femtepladsen efter Emden, Aurich, Leer og Norden. Byens område er kun tyndt befolket. I regionplanlægningen for Niedersachsen klassificeres Wittmund som et mellemcenter.
