Greven er en by i Steinfurt-distriktet i Nordrhein-Westfalen. Den ligger i det nordlige Münsterland som en del af Euregio-området mellem Münster og Osnabrück og bliver klassificeret som et middelcenter i den regionale udviklingsplan for NRW.
Greven ligger i Münsterland ved Ems. Floden deler byen i de to bydele Greven til venstre for Ems og Greven til højre for Ems, som før byens dannelse var selvstændige landsbyer. Også ved Hembergen flyder Glane til Ems.
