Aar er en 50 kilometer lang flod i det vestlige Tyskland, venstre biflod til Lahn. Den udspringer i Taunusbjergene, nær Taunusstein. Den flyder generelt mod nord gennem byerne Taunusstein, Bad Schwalbach, Aarbergen og Hahnstätten. Den flyder ind i Lahn i Diez.
Navnet Aar er et almindeligt navn for floder og bække i tysktalende Centraleuropa, som exemplificeret ved den ligeså navngivne biflod til den samme Lahn-flod Aar. Det præ-tyske ord Aar betyder "hurtigt flydende vand", i en metaforisk forstand "lille flod i et rum mellem bjerge". Det bevares almindeligvis i sydtysk talende områder i bosættelsesnavne, der slutter med -ach.
