Banegården Essen-Kray Nord er i dag en S-bane station i bydelen Kray i Essen. Den ligger ved siden af den nyere station Essen-Kray Syd på fernbanestrækningen Essen–Bochum, som er en af to jernbanestationer med persontransport i Essen-Kray.
Efter at strækningen af Rheinische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft fra Kray til Gelsenkirchen blev frigivet til godstrafik den 13. februar 1872, fulgte persontransporten den 16. april 1872. I 1876 var Kray, omdøbt til Kray Nord mellem 1880 og 1897 – da stationen Essen-Kray Syd blev åbnet på fernbanestrækningen Essen–Bochum i 1896 – den næststørste kulomkastningsstation på Rheinische Bahn. Fra begyndelsen blev den også brugt af den nærliggende mine Bonifacius. I 1907 blev tunnelen til ø-banen platformen færdigbygget.
