Epfach, beliggende ved venstre bred af Lech, er en del af kommunen Denklingen i det oberbayeriske distrikt Landsberg am Lech.
I nærheden af den nuværende by fandtes der siden omkring 14 f.Kr. på den senere kaldte Lorenzberg-høj lige ved Lech en romersk vejstation med omkring 80 soldater og ryttere. De havde til opgave at sikre krydset mellem Via Claudia og den gamle saltvej, der kom fra Salzburg, krydsede floden her og derefter førte til Kempten. Det var den mest betydningsfulde vejknudepunkt i det sydlige Bayern.
