Düsseldorf-Garath til Monheim am Rhein

Vi starter i Garath og går ad den snoede Garather Mühlenbach mod Rhinen. Vi når hurtigt Urdenbacher Kämpe, et naturreservat i særklasse: En gammel Rhinkanal, mangfoldig flora og fauna, urørte frugtplantager og som højdepunkt Haus Bürgel – informationscenter, museum, brænderi, opført på ruinerne af en romersk borg fra det 4. århundrede.
Bag Haus Bürgel når vi Fader Rhine og går langs promenade og når Monheim am Rhein. Piwipper Böötchen lokker til en kort udflugt til den anden side af Rhinen. Eller måske hellere tage en øl i Monheims gamle by på grænsen mellem Kölsch/Altbier? Vi vandrer videre gennem Rheinbogen (på den modsatte side af Rhinen hilser Köln allerede!) og afslutter etapen ved Gut Blee.
