Slottet Charlottenborg i København var en sekundær-residens for det danske kongehus. Bygningen i Københavns centrum huser i dag Kunsthal Charlottenborg og er hjemsted for Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi.
Grunden var en gave fra Kong Christian IV til sin elskerinde Wiebke Kruse, som fik anlagt en fornødenheds- og køkkenhave her. Ejendommen gik efter hendes død til deres fælles søn Ulrik Christian Gyldenløve. Han døde allerede i 1658 i en alder af 28 år, og næste ejer af grunden blev Ulrik Frederik Gyldenløve, en uægte søn af Kong Frederik III. Ulrik Frederik var således halvbror til kronprinsen og den senere konge Christian V. Fra ham fik han tilladelse til at opføre en passende residens.
