Alfafar er en kommune og by i Spanien i provinsen Valencia, i det valencianske samfund. Det ligger i regionen Huerta Sur. Ifølge INE havde det pr. 1. januar 2021 et befolkningstal på 21.415 indbyggere.[2]
Toponymet stammer fra den andalusiske landsby, som måtte have heddet الفخارة «alfarería»[3] eller الخفئ «dyb sted».[4] Uanset hvilket det oprindelige udtryk var, fremgår det i Llibre del Repartiment som Alfolfar, der ville udvikle sig til Alfofar og til sidst, Alfafar.[1]
