Zuid-Wervik er en kommune i det franske Norddepartement og har 4697 indbyggere. Stedet er en del af arrondissementet Lille. På den anden side af den fransk-belgiske grænse, der dannes af Leie, ligger det vestflamske Wervik. I 1667 blev Zuid-Wervik, reelt en forstad til Wervik, erobret af tropperne under Ludvig XIV af Frankrig, og i 1713 blev grænsen i forbindelse med Utrechtfreden endelig, hvilket delte byen i to. Leie blev en statsgrænse og adskilt byen i fransk Wervik og østrigsk Wervik. For befolkningen forblev byen dog et hele. Sankt Medardus Kirke forblev for begge bydele, for eksempel sognekirken. Først i 1802 blev Zuid-Wervik en selvstændig sogn.
