Crest er en kommune i det franske departement Drôme. Kommunen havde 8.680 indbyggere pr. 1. januar 2019. Stedet er en del af arrondissement Die. Byen var i middelalderen et ejendom af familien Arnaud. De byggede deres befæstede borg der. Derefter kom byen i besiddelse af familien Poitiers, greverne af Valentinois og Diois. Deres myndighed over Crest blev udfordret af biskopperne, hvilket førte til en to århundrede lang strid. Også Cesare Borgia og Diane de Poitiers var herrer over Crest. Familien Grimaldi var herre over Crest fra 1643 til den franske revolution.
