Fougères er en kommune i Frankrig, i Bretagne. Kommunen havde 20.595 indbyggere den 1. januar 2019. Ligesom den gamle by Vitré er også den gamle by Fougères bygget på en fremspringende del af en bakke over floden Nançon. I modsætning til slottet i Vitré er slottet i Fougères dog bygget i dalen ved floden. Det var oprindeligt omgivet af en skæbnet bøjning af Nançon og af sumpe, hvilket gjorde det næsten uindtageligt indtil opfindelsen af artilleriet.
