Mothern er en fransk kommune med 1955 indbyggere i Département Bas-Rhin i regionen Grand Est.
Mothern grænser op til Tyskland. Rhinen danner grænsen. Tidligere delte floden sig i adskillige hoved- og bifloder. Ved det tidligere flodleje lå der mindst to bosættelser, der blev kaldt Haut-Village og Bas-Village. Som bekendt blev Rhinen udrettet efter planer af ingeniør Tulla, så Mothern meget senere voksede til et indbyggertal på knap 2000 personer. I dag spiller turismen en vigtig rolle der.
