Cleopatra's Franske Nål, kendt som "Obelisken", ligger i centrum af Place de la Concorde og tilhørte oprindeligt indgangen til Luxor-templet. Mohamed Ali, vicekongen der også forsynede England med en obelisk, gav denne Cleopatra's Nål til Paris i bytte for et lille klokketårn, der skulle placeres i fæstningen i Kairo (og som viste sig ikke at fungere).
