Nieul-sur-Mer er en vestfransk kommune med 5859 indbyggere i departementet Charente-Maritime i regionen Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Den tilhører arrondissementet La Rochelle og kantonen Lagord. Indbyggerne kalder sig Nieulais. Nieul-sur-Mer ligger ved udmundingen af Sèvre Niortaise til Atlanterhavet, cirka fem kilometer nord for La Rochelle. Nieul-sur-Mer er omgivet af nabokommunerne Marsilly mod nord, Saint-Xandre mod øst, Puilboreau mod sydøst, Lagord mod syd og L’Houmeau mod sydvest.
