I 1661 besluttede Bernard Potier at grundlægge et børnehjem i godset Fourcroy i stedet for det gamle hospitals. Det var den første anerkendte institution for børn af kongen. På tærsklen til revolutionen var børnehjemmet i de velviljende nonners varetægt fra Feuillant-klosteret, indtil 1792, datoen for afskaffelsen af kongregationerne. Som statsejendom blev børnehjemmet administreret af en kommission fra kommunen. Efter Anden Verdenskrig blev børnehjemmet igen ejet af Blérancourt-fonden, før det i 1957 blev overtaget af Foreningen Le Moulin Vert, der etablerede en modtagelsesstruktur for børn med mentalt handicap.
