Statsminister Lord Palmerston blev også kaldt "lord Cupid" på grund af sin appetit på kvinder. Selvom han havde dårligt tilpassede falske tænder, var denne minister uimodståelig for kvinder. Han fik 7 uægte børn, og nogle kilder angiver, at han engang forsøgte at voldtage en af dronning Victorias damer, mens han besøgte Windsor Slot. Henry John Temple, 3. viscount Palmerston, levede fra 1784 til 1865.
