Denne gade i Rode var scene for et af de mest berygtede mord i det 19. århundrede, da Constance Kent myrdede sin 4-årige halvbror i Road Hill House i en alder af 16 år.
Hun tilstod sin skyld til en præst i Church of England. Præsten tilbageholdt yderligere oplysninger med den begrundelse, at de var modtaget under hemmeligheden om "sakramental bekendelse".
Ikke desto mindre blev Constance Kent idømt dødsstraf, men denne blev omdannet til livsvarigt fængsel på grund af hendes unge alder på tidspunktet for forbrydelsen og hendes bekendelse. Hun afsonede tyve år og blev løsladt i 1885 i en alder af 41.
