Den kaledonske kanal forbinder den skotske østkyst ved Inverness med vestkysten ved Corpach nær Fort William i Skotland. Kanalen blev bygget i begyndelsen af det nitttende århundrede af den skotske ingeniør Thomas Telford.
Kanalen strækker sig over cirka 60 miles fra nordøst til sydvest og når 106 fod over havets overflade. Kun en tredjedel af den samlede længde er menneskeskabt, mens resten dannes af Loch Dochfour, Loch Ness, Loch Oich og Loch Lochy. Disse søer ligger i Great Glen, på en geologisk brudlinje i jordens skorpe. Der er 29 sluser, fire akvædukter og 10 broer i kanalen.
