Nationalmuseet for Irland er Irlands førende museumsinstitution med et stærkt fokus på national og delvis international arkæologi, irsk historie, irsk kunst, kultur og naturhistorie. Det har tre afdelinger i Dublin og en i County Mayo.
Nationalmuseet for Irland stammer fra sammensmeltningen af dele af samlingerne fra en række kulturelle institutioner i Dublin fra det 18. og 19. århundrede, herunder Royal Dublin Society og Royal Irish Academy. De tidligste dele af samlingerne er fortrinsvis geologiske og mineralogiske prøver, som RDS indsamlede som et middel til at forbedre kendskabet til og anvendelsen af sådanne ressourcer i Irland. Etableringen af museumsamlingerne anses generelt for at være sket med købet af Nathaniel Gottfried Leskes samling i 1792.
