Den første skriftlige omtale af en bosættelse i området omkring Casalborgone stammer fra et diplom dateret den 7. maj 1000, hvormed biskoppen af Vercelli fik bekræftet af kejser Otto III, udover konfiskerede ejendomme fra Arduino d'Ivrea, også bekræftelse af andre lokaliteter, nogle i det bakkede område syd for Po.
