Sarzana er en by, kommune og tidligere kortvarig katolsk bispedømme i provinsen La Spezia, Ligurien, Italien. Det ligger 15 kilometer øst for Spezia, på jernbanen til Pisa, ved det punkt hvor jernbanen til Parma divergerer mod nord. I 2010 havde det en befolkning på 21.978.
Sarzanas placering, ved indgangen til Magra-dalen, grænsen mellem Etruria og Ligurien i romersk tid, gav den militær betydning i middelalderen. Den første omtale af byen findes i 983 i et diplom fra Otto I; i 1202 blev bispesædet overført fra det gamle Luni, 5 kilometer sydøst, til Sarzana.
