Alphen er en landsby i kommunen Alphen-Chaam, i den hollandske provins Noord-Brabant. Landsbyen ligger mellem Riel og Baarle-Nassau og tæt på Tilburg og Breda og har 4.305 indbyggere. Navnet Alphen forklares ofte ud fra det germanske alf-heim, hvilket så betyder noget i retning af elvers bolig. Dette er dog en særlig romantisk fremstilling af oprindelsen af navnet Alphen. En mere sandsynlig forklaring er alf fra et vand. I så fald kan navnet Alphen som alf-heim føres tilbage til en bolig ved en vandløb. Ved Alphen udspringer nemlig Dorpsvandløbet, som munde ud i Leij.
