Veenoord er en landsby i den hollandske provins Drenthe, kommune Emmen. Landsbyen Veenoord har 2080 indbyggere. Veenoord danner sammen med nabobyen Nieuw-Amsterdam en helhed. De kaldes derfor Tvillingebyen. Alligevel har begge landsbyer deres eget postnummer og har i lang tid udviklet sig selvstændigt. Veenoord hørte således ved den kommunale sammenlægning den 1. januar 1998 til kommunen Sleen, mens Nieuw-Amsterdam altid har hørt til kommunen Emmen. Grænsen mellem de to landsbyer ligger langs Schooldijk og Veilingstraat.
