Alphen og Riel er en tidligere kommune i provinsen Noord-Brabant. Kommunen blev dannet ved kejserligt dekret fra Napoleon den 8. november 1810 ved sammenlægning af landsbyerne Alphen og Riel. Indtil da havde Alphen sin egen skibsråd, som også omfattede Chaam. Ved oprettelsen af Alphen og Riel blev Chaam løsrevet fra Alphen. Riel hørte til sammenlægningen ved skibsrådet Hilvarenbeek.
