Laurium var en grænsefæstning langs limes, den nordlige grænse af det Romerske Rige ved floden Rhinen, nu kendt som Alte Rijn. Laurium identificeres med det delvist udgravede castellum i Woerden. Restene af blandt andet den voldgravede fæstning, borgerbosættelsen, romerske skibe og trækajanlæg er blevet fundet der.
