Laurium era un forte al confine lungo la limes, il confine settentrionale dell'Impero Romano lungo il fiume Reno, oggi il Reno Vecchio. Laurium è identificato con il castellum parzialmente scavato a Woerden. Sono stati ritrovati resti, tra l'altro, del forte circondato da un fossato, dell'insediamento civile, delle navi romane e delle opere in legno sul porto.
