Petten er en by ved Nordsøen, i den hollandske provins Nord-Holland. Denne tidligere kommune har siden 1929 været en del af kommunen Zijpe, som i 2013 blev en del af kommunen Schagen. Der er ca. 1.640 indbyggere. Petten lever af landbrug og turisme. På stranden i Petten kan der findes en særlig slags sand af slebet kvarts med granat.
