Petten es un pueblo en el mar del Norte, en la provincia neerlandesa de Holanda del Norte. Este antiguo municipio formó parte del municipio de Zijpe desde 1929, que en 2013 se convirtió en parte del municipio de Schagen. Hay aproximadamente 1.640 habitantes. Petten vive de la agricultura y el turismo. En la playa de Petten se puede encontrar un tipo especial de arena de cuarzo pulido con granate.
