Bad St. Leonhard im Lavanttal ist eine Stadtgemeinde mit 4293 Einwohnern im Bezirk Wolfsberg in Kärnten, Österreich.Das heutige Gemeindegebiet ist seit mehr als 2000 Jahren bewohnt. Eine römische Straße befand sich aufgrund der verkehrsgünstigen Lage im oberen Lavanttal auf dem heutigen Gemeindegebiet. Sie führte von Wolfsberg über Bad Sankt Leonhard in die heutige Steiermark.
