Hartberg ist eine Stadt mit 6774 Einwohnern und liegt im Bundesland Steiermark im Südosten von Österreich. Sie ist Verwaltungsmittelpunkt des Bezirks Hartberg-Fürstenfeld und liegt im Gerichtsbezirk Fürstenfeld.Hartberg liegt am Ostrand des steirischen Jogllandes am Übergang in das Oststeirische Hügelland. Die Stadt befindet sich im Osten der Steiermark und liegt etwa 40 km nordöstlich der Landeshauptstadt Graz.
