Die Westbahn ist eine elektrifizierte Hauptbahn in Österreich von Wien über St. Pölten und Linz nach Salzburg. Die Strecke wurde von der privaten k.k. privilegierten Kaiserin Elisabeth-Bahn gebaut und 1860 in Betrieb genommen. Heute wird die Strecke von den ÖBB Infra betrieben und gehört zu deren Kernnetz.
