Die Lawinenkatastrophe von Galtür im Februar 1999, die das Dorf Galtür und den Weiler Valzur der Gemeinde Ischgl im hinteren Paznaun, einem Seitental des Inns, teilweise verschüttete, war eines der größten Lawinenunglücke in der Geschichte Österreichs mit insgesamt 38 Todesopfern. Die Katastrophe war zudem gleichzeitig der Auslöser der größten Evakuierungsaktion mittels Hubschraubern.
