Standbild aus 1987 von Henri Lenaerts (geb. 1923) für Karel Buls (1837-1917), Bürgermeister von Brüssel (Bürgermeister) von 1881 bis 1899. Buls war zu bescheiden, um eine stehende Statue zu wünschen, deshalb sitzt er hier vorne bei 'seinen' Werken: den gut gepflegten und renovierten Denkmälern in der Stadt. Dieser Sohn eines Goldschmieds verbesserte das Schulsystem und ließ untere Klassen lernen. Seine Transmutationsklassen wurden jedoch boykottiert und führten zu mehr Frankophonen. Er liebte Menschen und Tiere und stellte Bänke in Parks und auf der Straße auf. Sein Hund springt zu ihm hin, begierig darauf, nach draußen zu gehen?
