Der Kraenepoel, manchmal auch Kraenepoelvijver oder Kraenepoelmeer genannt, ist ein 22 ha großer Teich mit umliegenden Wäldern in der Gemeinde Aalter.
Während Frostperioden kann es vorkommen, dass der Kraenepoel teilweise oder vollständig zufriert. Da der Kraenepoel relativ flach ist, ist dies in der Umgebung normalerweise einer der ersten Teiche, auf denen man auf dem Eis Schlittschuh laufen kann.
