Das STAM oder Stadtmuseum Gent ist ein Muss für jeden Besuch in Gent. Das Museum präsentiert die Geschichte der Stadt Gent auf eine wunderschön interaktive Weise. Es ist Teil der Bijlokeabtei, die selbst schon einen Besuch wert ist. Mit der Bijlokekollektion als Grundlage und der Bijlokeabtei sowie dem Bijlokekloster als Gebäude entwickelt das STAM eine Funktion als zeitgenössisches Erbe-Forum. Einer der beliebtesten Räume im Museum ist der, in dem man auf einem Luftbild spaziert und alle Details der Stadt sehen kann.
