Gut erhaltenen klassizistischen Platz, der zu Ehren des 25. Jubiläums der Regierungszeit von Karl von Lothringen im Jahr 1776 erbaut wurde. Dies war einer der seltenen Orte, an denen das Bürgertum und der Adel zu Fuß spazieren gingen. Sie fühlten sich dort sicher, der Platz war gepflastert und die Luft war besser als in der Unterstadt. Momentan muss dieser Platz zu viel Autoverkehr ertragen, und die Statue von Gottfried von Bouillon dient als Verkehrskreisel. Wer ein Museum besuchen möchte, wird in dieser Gegend mit den Museen für Schöne Künste und Bozar, dem letzten Meisterwerk des Architekten Victor Horta, auf jeden Fall auf seine Kosten kommen.
