Unter dem Einfluss des Präsidenten des Kirchenfabrik, Victor Dufays, Professor für Bauingenieurwesen an der Universität Leuven, begannen die Architekten Léon Guiannotte und André Watteyne 1928 mit dem Bau der Kirche St. Augustinus. Die Kirche wurde am Hoogte-Honderdplein in Vorst erbaut und 1936 geweiht. Die acht Straßen des Viertels führen alle zur Kirche. Die Kirche besteht aus Stahlbeton und ist ein charakteristisches Beispiel für die Wiederbelebung der Religionsarchitektur der Zwischenkriegszeit.
