Bellegem ist ein ländliches Dorf in der belgischen Provinz Westflandern und ein Stadtteil von Kortrijk. Es war bis zur Gemeindereform von 1977 eine selbständige Gemeinde. Bellegem liegt etwa fünf Kilometer südlich des Stadtzentrums von Kortrijk. Hochlagen des Gebiets waren bereits während des Neolithikums besiedelt, wovon Funde wie Endabschabern, Bergbauklingen und Abschlagäxte zeugen. In der Mitte des 1. Jahrhunderts wurden die römischen Einflüsse sichtbar, wie die Überreste von römischen Villen zeigen.
